Welcome
to BTEC Hospitality
The hospitality industry is large and varied, able to
respond to changing market needs by growing and evolving.
It therefore offers many different types of employment. In
the first part of the unit learners will explore the
industry at both a national and local level, gaining an
insight into the size of the industry and the different
types of settings in which it operates. They will also
differentiate between organisations solely operating in the
hospitality arena and those offering a specialist catering
service to industries that have other main activities.
